ZTE VP for wireline and service products Qian Qiang talks about the company's highlights this year.

In the past year, ZTE ranked No. 2 in terms of global broadband product revenue. DSL and multi-service access platform (MSAP) delivery lead the industry in emerging markets, while PON shipments ranked No.2 for the four straight quarters from Q3Y09 to Q2Y10. We also were able to break into the markets of Eastern Europe, Asia Pacific, Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and South America with our GPON-based FTTx solution in 2010.

With regards to innovation, ZTE deployed the first commercial 10G EPON and was one of the first GPON-based mobile backhaul network suppliers in the world. Working closely with operator partners, we rolled out the DPoE (Docsis Protocol over EPON) pilot trial in North America. We are also the first in the industry to launch the system-level G.Vector VDSL2 DSLAM prototype and Integrated Home Gateway prototype.

ZTE's next-generation optical access platform, the C300, was awarded an InfoVision Award at the Broadband World Forum Europe 2010, for its high performance and future-proof and power-saving design. It is designed for high-end markets, meets existing technical application requirements and can be simply upgraded as new technologies develop. The C300 meets requirements for large capacity. The unified access platform is compatible with EPON, GPON, P2P, 10G EPON and NG PON
