International banking network BNP Paribas Equities and Derivatives has chosen Network General's Sniffer Infinistream product network analysis solution to ensure the smooth running of key transactions at the bank's French operation.
Network General and its partner, NetQuality, have spent several months working with the bank to identify the best system to ensure financial traders have access to the right information at the right time, according to Network General.
With the solution, traders should be able to simultaneously deliver information to multiple investment banks throughout the day, using live feeds called "multicasts."
The Sniffer Infinistream can also capture and store detailed information regarding traffic passing through its network, providing a good overview of the system and enabling the IT department to quickly identify the root cause of problems.
