The market for Bluetooth radios is expected to grow 71% and reach more than 500 million units this year. ABI Research says the market will grow at a compounded annual growth rate of more than 40% between 2004 and 2011, with equipment shipments forecast to breach the 1-billion mark by 2009. This growth can be attributed to the continuation of the explosive growth in the headset market as well as expanded applications for Bluetooth, most notably in the gaming market.
