Bharti Airtel has entered into a strategic agreement with AT&T to provide networking solutions for multinational companies in India.

AT&T already has eight nodes in India’s national capital region, Bangalore, Mumbai, Chennai and Hyderabad.

Under a network-to-network interconnect (NNI) agreement, AT&T customers have access to more than 100 cities across India via Bharti Airtel’s more than 130 multiprotocol label switching (MPLS)-enabled IP network nodes.

This lets multinational customers access AT&T services from wherever they work in India, expand their global MPLS virtual private networks (VPNs) to locations across the country and use a single point of contact for service-level agreement (SLA) management.

“AT&T’s goal is to give customers the same experience whether they are expanding into India or internationally from India,” said Roman Pacewicz, AT&T Business Solutions SVP of marketing and global strategy.
