Goober releases free VoIP, IM apps for iPhone
Goober Networks has released two new free mobile applications called goober VoIP and goober for Apple's iPhone. The first allows users to make VoIP calls with savings of “up to 90 percent” while the other provides instant messaging and chatting.

eBay releases free iPhone apps for sellers
eBay now provides two new, free iPhone apps that provide consumers “the quickest and easiest ways to buy and sell straight from their smartphone.” The Selling app helps sellers list items for sale in less than 60 seconds while the Classifieds app offers everyday users the chance to quickly find or sell items locally.
Cortado's iPhone app now scans to PDF
Cortado Workplace, the free iPhone business application launched in March, now includes a free update with an expanded range of functions. The new version comes with 1GB of online storage space, cloud printing functions, and the ability to scan and copy documents.
RADVISION launches free app for video conferences
RADVISION has launched SCOPIA Mobile which extends the SCOPIA conferencing solution. This free application provides control and management of video conferences on smartphones like the iPhone, iPod touch and BlackBerry.
Yahoo launches search apps for iPhone
Yahoo has launched two new applications for the iPhone and iPod touch called Yahoo Sketch-a-Search and Yahoo Search. Sketch-a-Search allows searching “without typing keywords or thinking about search terms” while Search revolves around an interface that delivers contextually relevant results quickly and efficiently.
Opera takes widgets to mass market
Opera Software today has made Opera Widgets available on “nearly any mobile phone.” CEO Lars Boilesen said the new widgets platform releases operators and manufacturers from the native application box and gives them the tools needed to develop web-based content.
