Apple has agreed to move its Chinese users' data onto China Telecom servers in a bid to assuage government officials' security concerns.

The company has added China Telecom to its list of data center providers for encrypted iCloud content, Bloombergreported.

Apple products were recently excluded from a list of approved Chinese government equipment procurements by China's National Development and Reform Commission and Ministry of Finance.

It was widely reported that the exclusion was due to security concerns, but China's Central Government Procurement Center subsequently claimed the decision was due to a technicality.

Apple has nevertheless recently come under fire by state-owned media including China Central Television, through reports questioning the security of Apple devices.

In more Apple news, Hong Kong's Apple Daily has posted alleged photos of the components of the new larger-screen iPhone expected to be unveiled next month.

According to the report, the larger model is called the iPhone 6L, and has a 5.5-inch screen. It will be accompanied by a conventional 4.7-inch model, likely to be called the iPhone 6.
