(Telecomworldwire via NewsEdge) French telecom equipment manufacturer Alcatel has been awarded three Chinese contracts worth 53 million euros ($67.4 million).
Alcatel said the contracts were from Shaanxi Mobile Communication and Jiangsu Mobile Communication, subsidiaries of China Mobile. The contracts were attributed to Alcatel Shanghai Bell, its company in China.
The contracts involve the expansion of GSM and GPRS mobile phone networks in China.
