.

Tajikistan (WWLDW)

Tajikistan made it to the quarterfinals after knocking out the United Arab Emirates on penalties. Khanonov scored a goal for Tajikistan after 30 minutes, but a dramatic equalizer goal by Al Hammadi in stoppage time leveled the game to a 1-1 scoreline. Both teams could not find the net in the extra 30 minutes, which resulted in penalties. However, Tajikistan scored all their penalties, and Caio Canedo ended the Asian Cup dream for the United Arab Emirates with Tajikistan advancing.

.

Jordan (WLDWL)

Jordan is the biggest surprise to make it to the quarterfinals after they were ranked 106th coming into the Asian Cup. Still, they have stylishly made it to the quarterfinals after defeating Iraq 3-2. Jordan scored two stoppage-time goals in the second half to secure their passage to the quarterfinals.

.

Australia (WDWWW)

Australia remains one of the top favorites for the Asian Cup, as they remain unbeaten in their last eight matches. Australia won their last round of 16 comfortably, hitting four goals without conceding against Indonesia. Goals from Boyle, Goodwin, Scouttar, and an early first-half goal secured Australia's progress to the quarterfinals.

South Korea (WDDWW)

South Korea remains unbeaten in their last 12 matches across all competitions but showed great resilience in their last match against Saudi Arabia. South Korea scored in the 46th minute by Radif, but their defense could not secure the lead as they conceded a stoppage-minute goal to Saudi Arabia by Cho Gue-Sung. Both teams played a goalless extra-time match, which resulted in a penalty, with South Korea coming out victorious with a 2-4 penalty.

.

Iran (WWWWW)

Iran continued to flex their unbeaten muscles in the Asian Cup, as they are now unbeaten in their last 17 matches. Iran looked to be the best team in the Asian Cup, as they won their last match against Syria on penalties. Iran scored a 34-minute penalty by Taremi, who later saw a red card in the match, but Syria equalized in the 64th minute with a spot kick by Khribin. The match ended in a goalless extra 30 minutes, but Iran advanced with a 5-3 penalty.

.

Japan (WWLWW)

Japan displayed a 100% improved performance against Bahrain after Japan took the lead in the 31st minute and scored a brace in the second half, with the match ending 3-1. The victory puts them on a two-match winning streak.

.

Qatar (WWWWL)

Qatar have performed exceptionally well recently, as they are on a four-match winning streak. Qatar secured a 2-1 victory against Palestine in the knockout stage after conceding a goal from Palestine Dabbagh but came back to score two goals from Al Haydos and Afif to secure their passage to the quarterfinals.

.

Uzbekistan (WDWDW)

Uzbekistan booked their spot in the quarterfinals after they defeated Thailand 2-1. Uzbekistan are now on a 12-match unbeaten record, and they will look to continue their form to see them book their spot in the semifinals.
