Inter Milan striker Marcus Thuram has a wonderful start in the Italy Serie A season. The Frenchman began the new campaign by scoring a brace in Inter Milan's opening 2-2 draw against Genoa at home. Juventus striker Dušan Vlahović is currently the second contender for the Capocannoniere Award behind Marcus Thuram in the betting world. Last season, Vlahović had his best yet for Juventus, scoring sixteen league goals, and, in doing so, he managed to finish second in the race for the Golden Boot. The Serbian international has once again established himself as a force to be reckoned with in Italian football, as he has scored five goals in the new campaign. The Argentine moved to fellow Serie A club Atalanta in the summer after impressively scoring seven goals and contributing two assists for Genoa last season. The 25-year-old striker is a strong contender for the top scorer award in the new Serie A campaign, as he currently tops the charts with eight goals scored in eight matches played so far, including two assists. He has a high expected goal (xG), which stands as high as 5.97, indicating that he can contend with Thuram and Vlahović in the race for the Golden Boot award this season.

The Belgian striker, who made a permanent switch deal to Napoli this summer, has already spent two seasons on loan at Inter Milan and AS Roma, respectively. Lukaku is a strong contender for the Serie A top scorer award this term, and he has started the campaign with an impressive three goals while giving four assists. However, his expected goal among the contenders is the lowest, with 2.03. The Belgium striker is currently struggling with goals but has been providing decent assistance to his teammates.
