Popular hip-hop mogul and music producer Sean Diddy Combs is now facing 120 allegations of sexual misconduct after he was put behind bars in September on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Bet With Bet365Earlier on Tuesday this week, it was reported that an attorney said he is representing 120 accusers who have come forward with sexual misconduct allegations against Sean “Diddy” Combs, the hip-hop mogul who is awaiting trial on sex trafficking charges.
Lead Counsel Tony Buzbee with The Buzbee Law Firm and Ava Law Group announced the nature of the lawsuits in a Houston press conference.
“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors. We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates.” “The biggest secret in the entertainment industry, that really wasn’t a secret at all, has finally been revealed to the world. The wall of silence has now been broken.”
Buzbee said in the press conference
He stated that the charges against Combs include violent sexual assault and rape, drug facilitation, false imprisonment, and sexual abuse of minors.
“This type of sexual assault, sexual abuse, sexual exploitation should never happen in the United States or anywhere else. This should have never been allowed to go on for so long. This conduct has created a mass of individuals who are injured, scared and scarred.”
Buzbee continued at the news conference.
Buzbee stated that there were 60 male and 60 female victims, with 25 of them being minors at the time of the alleged misconduct. One individual claimed to have been 9 years old when the abuse occurred, according to Buzbee. These allegations span from 1991 to the present year.
Buzbee further stated that over 3,280 individuals reached out to his firm and claimed that they had been victimized by Combs. After carefully reviewing the allegations, his firm chose to represent 120 people, and they are still reviewing other cases. He mentioned that some of his clients have contacted the FBI.
Most of the alleged abuse took place at parties in New York, California, and Florida, where individuals were given drinks laced with drugs, according to Buzbee. Some of the alleged conduct occurred at auditions where, as Buzbee stated,
“many times, especially young people, people wanting to break into the industry were coerced into this type of conduct in the promise of being made a star.”
Buzbee said
The music mogul has since been locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn since pleading not guilty on Sept. 17. His attorney said he is innocent and will fight to clear his name.
"cannot address every meritless allegation in what has become a reckless media circus". "That said, Mr Combs emphatically and categorically denies as false and defamatory any claim that he sexually abused anyone, including minors," Erica Wolff added in a statement. "He looks forward to proving his innocence and vindicating himself in court if and when claims are filed and served, where the truth will be established based on evidence, not speculation."
In response to the latest claims, his lawyer said he
Combs, who has won three Grammys, founded Bad Boy Records in 1993 and is one of the best-known music executives and performers in hip-hop.
