Bet Football on Bet365The 2018 World Cup winner returned to Manchester United for a world record transfer fee of £89 million in August 2016, where he played under the Portuguese manager at Old Trafford between 2016 and 2018. Pogba, while speaking to the Mail six years after he parted ways with the Special One, described the relationship as 'boyfriend and girlfriend. The midfielder recalled that his relationship with the Portuguese icon started well as the manager was one of the reasons he arrived at Old Trafford in 2016, but things fell out.
“Our relationship was like boyfriend and girlfriend, we were breaking up and making up all the time.” “It started great, he was one of the reasons I went back to Manchester because I spoke to him and he convinced me to come back. “I don’t know why it turned into a nightmare and us fighting. Because I wasn’t fighting. I didn’t start the fight. “We disagreed like managers and players do sometimes. But there’s a lot of respect from me to him. “If I see him tomorrow it’s a big hug! But one day we will have to sit down together and discuss it.”
Pogba told The Mail.
During his spell at Manchester United, Pogba won two trophies; he won the Europa League and League Cup as well as making a total of 233 appearances.
Meanwhile, Mourinho was sacked from his job after two and a half years following some disappointing run of results. The Special One was replaced by United legend Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and Pogba made 27 appearances throughout the 2017/18 season, where the Frenchman scored 11 goals.
Pogba is eager to return to football after testing positive for elevated levels of testosterone in his system. His doping ban was reduced from four years to 18 months, and in the same interview he claimed he would be ready to take a pay cut to rejoin Juventus.
