Earlier last week, it was reported that the club decision-makers were stated to meet in London on Tuesday amid United's woeful start to the season and on the agenda of the Dutchman's future at the club. Sir Jim Ratcliffe, co-owner of Manchester United, along with some other notable figures from the club's hierarchy, were all present at Villa Park to observe the match and possibly make a decision on Dutman's future at the club.

Manchester United Hierarchy to Meet on Tuesday Over Erik Ten Hag Future at The Club

The Reds have endured the worst start to the 2024/24 season as they have gone on a five-match winless streak in all competitions, leaving manager Erik Ten Hag's position uncertain heading into a two-week international break. Manchester United currently sits 14th in the Premier League, having lost three of its six opening league games, including a back-to-back home defeat to rivals Liverpool and Tottenham, with the scoreline ending 3-0.

According to an early report today, the decision makers are considering scouting a potential replacement for the Dutchman, with former Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel considered the heavy favorite to succeed Ten Hag at Old Trafford.

Thomas Tuchel became Chelsea manager in 2021 and won the Champions League in his debut season, and he was also named the Best FIFA Football Coach. Things went sour between Tuchel and Todd Boehly, the new owner of Chelsea, as news of his departure came as a shock to the Blues fan, as he was relieved of his duties at Stamford Bridge in September 2022 despite winning Champions League, UEFA Super Club, and FIFA Club World Cup triumphs, while also leading the Blues to two FA Cup finals.

Tuchel was appointed Bayern Munich manager in 2023, but failure to win a trophy following some disappointing runs of results led to the manager being replaced in the 2024 summer by Vincent Kompany. Since departing from Bayern at the end of last season, the German coach remains out of work.

However, despite rumors surrounding the current Manchester United manager being sacked, Erik ten Hag insisted he was on the same page as the Manchester United hierarchy and said he had received no indication from the owners that he does not retain their support.

Ten Hag was asked whether he felt he had the support of the United leadership team, who are due to meet in London on Tuesday following the goalless draw at Villa Park.

“I don’t have any idea that is different because they should have told me [if not]. We communicate very openly and transparently.” “I speak continuously with them,” he said. “Every week, I would say every day, we talk, so I expect I will speak with them. “We are all on board together, on one page. We know where we are working to: it’s a long-term project, and we have to keep improving the process.”
