Manchester United Antony Score for the First Time Since April

Manchester United winger Antony scored his first goal for the Red Devils since April 2023 in their Carabao Cup third-round match at Old Trafford, ending his scoreless streak.

The 24-year-old Brazilian forward, since completing his signing from Ajax to Manchester United in a deal initially worth €95m (£82m), has been subject to criticism, as some critics have called him a money flop. However, during the Red Devil game against Barnsley today, Antony was fouled by Barnsley's goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina in the 35 minutes, which he later converted from the spot kick. 

Manchester United are currently cruising 3-0 against League One side courtesy of goals from Marcus Rashford, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho. 

Antony, during the 2023-24 season, managed to score only three goals while providing two assists in his 38 appearances in all competitions for Manchester United.
