The FIFA president has confirmed that Inter Miami CF has become the penultimate team to seal a spot at the new FIFA Club World Cup after winning the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield.

The announcement was made official after another remarkable performance by Messi, the main star of Inter Miami's 6-2 win against the New England Revolution. The Argentine came off the bench in the second half of the match and made an instant impact by scoring an incredible hattrick. The victory also marks a record for Inter Miami, reaching 74 points, the highest number in an MLS regular season.
The eight-time Ballon d'Or winner continues to prove himself, as he recently also scored his 10th international hat trick to raise his career international total to 112 goals in Argentina thrashing over Bolivia 6-0 in a World Cup qualifier.

The last spot of the FIFA Club World Cup will be determined on November 30 at the CONMEBOL Libertadores final in Buenos Aires. Twelve teams from Europe will be included in the Club World Cup. They are Atletico Madrid, Bayern Munich, Benfica, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Juventus, Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Porto, Real Madrid, and Salzburg.
Other teams that have qualified include Boca Juniors, Flamengo, Fluminense, Palmeiras, and River Plate from South America; Leon, Monterrey, Pachuca, and the Seattle Sounders from North America; Al Ahly, Esperance, Mamelodi Sundowns, and Wydad from Africa; Al-Hilal, Al Ain, Ulsan, and Urawa from Asia; and Auckland City from Oceania.
