One of the players that have made a vital contribution to Gujarat Titans' surge to the top of the points table in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 is Prasidh Krishna. The 29-year-old from Karnataka has so far taken 16 wickets in eight matches, which includes a four-wicket haul.

Gujarat Titans are currently placed second in the points table behind Royal Challengers Bengaluru (14), clubbed with Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, and three teams on 12 points. But Gujarat have only played eight games as against 10 each by RCB, MI, and DC.
As they get ready to take on Rajasthan Royals in their next match at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday, Prasidh Krishna talked about his team's strategy to secure a spot in the IPL 2025 playoffs.
Performing in every game as a team is crucial, and that’s exactly what we’re focusing on. No matter how many wins you have, momentum can shift with one match. We're staying humble, working hard, and preparing thoroughly for every game.
Prasidh Krishna speaking on JioHotstar Press Room for the Race to Play-offs said
Speaking about how Gujarat Titans can maintain their top-two position, Prasidh highlighted the need to be consistent in team performance. "We need to keep enjoying the cricket we’re playing, take responsibility, make smart decisions on the ground, and keep working harder. That’s been our motto, and we’ll continue it through the season," he said.
With their bowlers doing well, Gujarat Titans have won six out of eight matches and are top contenders to grab a place in the playoffs. While Prasidh has bagged 16 wickets, Sai Kishore and Mohammad Siraj have claimed 12 wickets apiece.
On the batting front, opener Sai Sudharsan is their top scorer with 417 runs from eight matches, while Jos Buttler (356) and Shubman Gill (305) have also made vital contributions.
Their opponents Rajasthan Royals are struggling, placed second from bottom, with just four points from two wins in nine matches. They have lost their last five matches and will have to play out of their socks to overcome GT.
Defeat on Monday will knock them out of the playoffs reckoning and therefore Rajasthan Royals will be hoping to win the match against GT and maintain their faint hopes.
Their top-order batters Yashasvi Jaiswal (356), Dhruv Jurel (238), and Riyan Parag (234) have done reasonably well so far. Skipper Sanju Samson is still doubtful for this match too. The 14-year-old teenager Vaibhav Suryavanshi has impressed with his aggressive batting. Their middle order of Nitish Rana, Dhruv Jurel, and Shimron Hetmyer has performed in patches.
Among their bowlers, Jofra Archer has bowled with pace but has got only nine wickets to show for his efforts, while Sandeep Sharma has managed eight wickets. Wanindu Hasaranga is their leading wicket-taker with 10 wickets from seven games.
Gujarat Titans have dominated their head-to-head series winning six of the seven matches. They are also the form team with four wins in their last five matches while Rajasthan have none.
