The focus will be on Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill when Royal Challengers Bengaluru take on Gujarat Titans in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 at the M. Chinnaswamy in Bengaluru on Wednesday.

Both Kohli and Gill were part of the Indian team that won the Champions Trophy a few weeks back and have been teammates at the national level for the last couple of years.
Now, representing different players, both of them are at opposite ends of the spectrum with RCB at the top with two wins from as many matches while Gujarat Titans are close behind with one win and one defeat.
Happy homecoming for Prasidh
While the fans will be focusing on Kohli and Gill, there will be one more player in the Gujarat Titans squad who will be looking forward to playing in his hometown. Gujarat Titans bowler Prasidh Krishna is very excited about playing in Bengaluru.
It's great to come back home and play in the stadium that you've grown up playing. It is exciting. The first game in Bangalore as well, so we're looking forward to how it's going to play out.
Prasidh in a pre-match press conference on Tuesday, said
"The team is excited about how the tournament has started. We've done quite a few things well, we are trying to get better at a few things. So yeah, it is going to be exciting," said Prasidh Krishna, who claimed 2-18 in their last match against Mumbai Indians.
The ongoing IPL 2025 is quite important for the 29-year-old right-arm fast bowler Prasidh Krishna as he is playing in the tournament after a break because of injuries.
As much as I try to tell myself that, you know, it's just another tournament, just another game, I did feel that I'm coming in after a few years and especially coming in not having played a lot of T20s in the last two years. The pace of the game has changed from 2022 to 2025. So it did take some time, but then that's the game.
Prasidh said
"I think it has to move. It keeps moving forward and you have to keep up with the game. And not much has changed for me physically. I have thankfully been playing some cricket now and the body is letting me do what I want to do," he added.
Maintaining momentum
While RCB has started its campaign with victories over Kolkata Knight Riders and Chennai Super Kings, Gujarat Titans lost its opener to Punjab Kings but then got the better of Mumbai Indians at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
Both teams are looking forward to winning Wednesday's clash and maintaining the momentum. In five matches they have played so far, Royal Challengers Bengaluru have won three while Gujarat Titans emerged winners in two.
