Panathinaikos
Panathinaikos were champions of the Euroleague last season, and it isn’t a surprise seeing them as favorites now. They didn’t just win the continental title last season; they also clinched their 40th Greek League crown. Their focus has now shifted to becoming the 4th club in history to win back-to-back EuroLeague titles this century. Only Maccabi Tel Aviv (2004, 2005), Olympiacos (2012, 2013), and Anadolu Efes (2021, 2022) have won back-to-back EuroLeague championships in the 21st century.
“Everybody will be more aggressive against us,” Ergin Ataman told Eurohoops. “Especially on the road. They will try to beat us. This happened in the past but now it’s different. Of course, we will be more tough. In every game, people will want us not only to just win but give a show Win by 20. It’s not easy. Sometimes you may win games that seem easy in the last minute or second. It won’t be easy,” he added.

Olympiacos
Olympiacos made it to the final four of the last season, defeating Fenerbahce 87-84 in the third-place finals. They are one of the most successful clubs of the 21st century, with 9 Final Four appearances, six finals, and 2 EuroLeague titles. The Greek club made three straight Final Four appearances for the first time (2022, 2023, 2024) and made the championship game in 2023. Kyle Hines decided to hang up his sneakers last season. However, 2022-23 EuroLeague MVP Sasha Vezenkov is back with the Reds after departing the previous season. His contribution in the 2022/2023 Euroleague final game against Real Madrid, where he had 29 points, was the joint most ever in the title decider.

Real Madrid
After a superb start to the 2023/2024 Euroleague season, where they were unbeaten in the first 19 games, they finished the regular season as the top-seeded team with a 27-7 record. However, Real couldn’t defend their title and ended up suffering a 95-80 to Panathinaikos in the final of the Euroleague. They made it to the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four for the third consecutive season last season.

Fenerbahce
Fenerbahce made it to the final four last season, but what interested fans the most was that they were the first team to beat Real Madrid in that season. They also made the playoff appearance in the 2023 season, so nothing should stop them this season as well.
