Euro 2024: France Knockout Portugal on Penalties to Advance to the Semifinals

France defeated Portugal 5-3 on penalties, scoring all of their kicks after a goalless draw in the European Championship quarter-final, ending Cristiano Ronaldo's hopes of winning the title at his last European Championship. Theo Hernandez scored the winning penalty for France after Portugal's Joao Felix hit the post in the shootout.

The main highlight of the extra period was Kylian Mbappe being substituted at halftime due to a blow to his face earlier in the match.
