In a thrilling Carabao Cup final, Liverpool defeated Chelsea 1-0 thanks to Virgil van Dijk's header in the 118th minute. During regulation time, the center-back thought he had scored the opening goal, but it was disallowed due to a controversial VAR decision. Despite numerous chances and misses, the game remained goalless after 90 minutes, leading to a dramatic late winner for Liverpool.

It's all for the fans, so let's enjoy it. He added, "Intense game for both sides; they had chances, we had chances. Amazing. First trophy as Liverpool captain, Listen, we will never take things for granted, and you see, today it could have been the other way as well that we lost. But we did a job, even with all the problems we have had before the game. I'm so proud, proud to be part of this club and especially proud of the boys.

Gravenberch's Injury Against Chelsea Adds to Liverpool's Woes.

Liverpool were handed a triple blow ahead of kick-off as the injured trio of Mohamed Salah, Darwin Nunez, and Dominik Szoboszlai were all left out of the squad.

Liverpool suffered another injury blow as Ryan Gravenberch was stretchered off following a bad challenge from Moises Caicedo, leaving Jurgen Klopp furious.

Gravenberch is now the twelfth senior player added to the Liverpool treatment room, which left the club seriously depleted in the final.

Gravenberch, Mohamed Salah, Darwin Núñez, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Dominik Szoboszlai, Diogo Jota, Curtis Jones, Jöel Matip, Thiago Alcântara, Alisson Becker, Stefan Bajčetić, and Ben Doak are all out.

Jurgen Klopp remained concerned by the referee’s decisions over the Gravenberch injury.

“There were two teams fighting very hard, and the referee didn’t have the level of the game,” the Liverpool manager said to Sky Sports after the game. “It was not even a foul?! Then the fourth official explaining we cannot give a card... good idea. This situation was obvious for me, everything you need for a card. “They did an x-ray [on Gravenberch]. It is not broken, but the ligaments got something. I actually feel really bad, but everything else is really good.”
