Swedish pole vaulter Armand Duplantis secured a gold medal, set a new world record in the men's pole vault, and celebrated his victory at the Olympics by mimicking Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec.

The 24-year-old athlete raised the bar to 6.25 meters on Monday, setting a new world record in the process. The new record marks the ninth time Duplantis has set a new world record in his career. He initially secured his victory by clearing six meters, followed by setting an Olympic record at 6.10 meters. Duplantis was the previous world record holder and was also the gold medalist in the event during the Tokyo Games.

After his impressive performance, Duplantis celebrated in a unique way that quickly went viral on social media. He mimicked Turkish shooter Yusuf Dikec as Duplantis stood back, made a pistol with his right hand, and stuck his left hand slightly down his pants.
