O'Malley: I Paid More In Taxes Than I Made Last Year In My Fight

Reigning UFC bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley admitted that he paid more in taxes than he earned for his fight against Aljamain Sterling.

O'Malley said on Bradley Martyn's Raw Talk podcast:

My goal is always to become a multi-millionaire. You can make a lot of money in the UFC not talking s***, not really being on social media, doing all that stuff. But it's gonna be harder when you have to win 500,000 fights in a row. I paid more in taxes than I made last year in my fight [with Sterling]. I made a lot of money fighting but I made triple that from social media.

O'Malley faced Sterling in August 2023 at UFC 292. Sean won that fight by technical knockout in the second round and won the UFC bantamweight championship belt.

O'Malley last fought against Marlon Vera in March of this year at UFC 299. In that fight, Sean won by unanimous decision. He has 18 wins and one loss on his record.
