Tim Tszyu Defends WBO Championship, KOs Ocampo in Second Minute

On the night of June 18 at the Gold Coast Convention Centre in Broadbeach, Australia, Tim Tszyu of Australia defended his WBO interim middleweight title against Carlos Ocampo of Mexico.

Tszyu won by knockout in the second minute of the first round.

Tszyu, 28, had a previous fight against American Tony Harrison in March 2023. Tim won that fight by TKO in the ninth round. He had 23 wins (17 by KO) and no defeats.

Ocampo, 27, had his last fight in October 2022, against Sebastian Fundora. This fight ended with Fundora winning by unanimous decision. Carlos has 35 wins (23 by knockout) and three defeats under his belt.
